All Access: Utilizing Google’s Live Captions with the Video Library

The steps below outline how to turn on live captions for our instructional videos using a Google Chrome browser. Captions are available in multiple languages. Please note, our team has not translated the videos, and there may be errors in the transcription. 

1. Open a tab within Google Chrome and click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of your window.

2. Click on Settings.

3. On the left side bar click on Accessibility.

4. Click on the toggle for Live Caption. To switch to a language other than English, turn on the Live Translate option and select the preferred language next to "Translate To". 

Live captions of the selected language will appear on devices with these settings.
