IMTA Funds and EMAT Purchasing: Texas Schools

This article is written specifically for Texas teachers and schools.

Many Texas customers have successfully used their district's IMTA funds for Maneuvering the Middle subscriptions. While we are not personally involved in the process, the steps below are provided to help support the funding process within the state's web portal.

EMAT Information

You can find details on the disbursement process by visiting this webpage. TEA has also provided instructional videos, including "Disbursement Request Overview" and "Instructional Materials Disbursement Request." You can find the training videos here.

To request a disbursement, follow the steps under Creating a Disbursement Request on TEA's website.

Once you've selected Instructional Materials as your disbursement type, fill in the requested information:

  • Publisher: Maneuvering the Middle
  • Additional Information (optional): You can use this field to note package details (e.g., grade level(s) and quantity of licenses being ordered). This field isn't required.
  • State Adopted: No (Only materials adopted by the SBOE are considered state adopted, i.e. can also be purchased through EMAT)
  • Condition: New
  • Title: MTM Resource Name (All Access, Maneuvering Math, or All Access + Maneuvering Math Bundle)
  • ISBN: N/A (Our resources are not published books with an ISBN, so "N/A" is appropriate and acceptable.)
  • Language: English
  • Subject: Math
  • Course Name: Enter the course name as it is labeled in PEIMS (example: Algebra 1)
  • Material Type: Teacher
  • Grade Level: Click the magnifying glass to choose the grade that best fits your request.
  • Number of Students Served: Enter the number of students in the classes where this resource will be used. This field should not be left blank.
  • Copyright Year: Our resource copyright dates are as follows:
    • 5th TEKS: 2023
    • 6th TEKS: 2015
    • 6th Advanced TEKS: 2025
    • 7th TEKS: 2016
    • 7th Advanced TEKS: 2025
    • 8th TEKS: 2016
    • Algebra 1 TEKS: 2020
    • Maneuvering Math Intervention: 2018
  • Media Format: Select the option that best matches our digital subscription (e.g., Online or Electronic).
  • Unit price: Price per license as provided on your quote. If you need a quote, you can request one here.

After you submit, you will be notified by the state once the submission is approved and then again once the funds have been sent to your business office.

MTM Ordering Information

Our MTM ordering process is completely separate from the state EMAT system.

  • In order to gain access to the resources, you will need to fill out the MTM Order Submission Form where you will be asked to submit a PO.
  • Once the order is processed, we will send you an invoice for payment. Please note, your IMTA funds will NOT be sent to us directly. You will still need to submit payment to our office via ACH, check, or credit card (for orders up to $2,500).
